Choosing a High Performance Samsung Phone

Performance

Although features and styles are very good points to consider when choosing your samsung phone, performance is perhaps the most important factor to judge. Remember the phone is only as good as the calls it can make, so even the most feature-driven phone can be useless if it can’t deliver on decent call quality. While the strength of the service provider / carrier is critical the phone’s antenna at receiving that phone call is important as well. Determining the call quality of the phone may take extra work on your part. Be sure to check out personal reviews of various Samsung phones. You can find those reviews here. Performance and features can tie together. For instance, for a multimedia cell phone you should consider how these features perform. Every samsung phone will vary in camera quality and some will have better sound quality than others. If possible evaluate these features and their performance before buying. Finally, find out the phone’s battery life. A good phone will have more than 3 hours of continuous talk time and over 6 days of standby time. Every phone will have a rated battery life set out by the manufacturer and your personal experience will vary with it. Again check out editorial reviews in regards to battery life

Here is our personal review of the Samsung Instinct:

Memory - This samsung phone comes with 2gig chip but since it is cheaper than the iphone you can buy an 8GB chip and be on par size wise.

Battery - The iphones battery is built in, a major complaint even with iphone lovers, you have to PAY apple to replace your battery once it is junk. The instinct actually comes with a spare battery and a charger so you can be charging your battery while still using your phone.

Computer interface -. As long as you have your USB cable you can easily transfer media, from and to on any computer with a USB port without downloading software. If you are technically challenged and like itunes, samsung has bundled media software with the phone that is just like itunes.

Service Provider - For Canada Telus and Bell currently offer the Samsung instinct. Rogers offers the Iphone. Please see

www.rogers.com, www.telusmobility.com and www.bell.ca for details on plane rates.

Camera- The Instinct has a 2.0-megapixel camera, but were disappointed by its lack of options. On this samsung phone you can’t adjust the resolution, quality, brightness, or any of the other settings you’d find on any basic camera phone. We’re not sure what Samsung was thinking. The photo quality was decent but most of the time the pictures were far too bright.

Keyboard- We were very glad to see that the Instinct’s alphabetic keyboard defaults to landscape mode. You can hold the instinct and type with your thumbs. Overall, the keyboard is easy to use, but we had a few pet peeves. The individual buttons should be big enough for most people, but users with larger hands or larger fingers may find the arrangement cramped. Also, while you can magnify the text to see what you’ve written, you must minimize the keyboard to do so, which is rather counterproductive. The Instinct does not correct your spelling like the iPhone does.

In conclusion we give this samsung phone an 8.1/10 and recommend both the Iphone and Samsung instinct to our users.

Samsung phone safety

We here at samsung phone guide find it necessary to provide consumers with safety and the latest information regarding cell phones. A samsung phone is no exception to this rule.

Here are some general guidelines for samsung phone safety!!

Are cell phones bad for you?

The available scientific evidence does not show that any health problems are associated with using wireless phones. There is no proof, however, that wireless phones are absolutely safe.

Wireless phones emit low levels of radiofrequency energy (RF) in the microwave range while being used. They also emit very low levels of RF when in the stand-by mode. Whereas high levels of RF can produce health effects (by heating tissue), exposure to low level RF that does not produce heating effects causes no known adverse health effects.

Some tips:

Use a bluetooth headset instead of always talking on your phone.

Limit exposure when possible.

Do not allow children to use cell phones frequently do to their lower bone density.

Do shileds work?

Since there are no known risks from exposure to RF emissions from wireless phones, there is no reason to believe that accessories that claim to shield the head from those emissions reduce risks.

How about airplanes?

The FCC (Federal Communication Commission) prohibits use of personal cell phones while inflight. This ruling applies only to commercial carriers. If your company has a private plane then you can use your cell phone while inflight.

The FCC says that safety is the reason for the ban on cell phone usage. They believe that cell phones can interfere with the aircraft instruments. The FAA does support this decision.
